“We are so happy that we chose Kalyn to be our doula and birth photographer for our home birth. She was incredibly knowledgeable and beyond helpful! She was so good about offering advice while allowing me to make my own decisions throughout the whole process. The photos that she took we will cherish for forever, and she was so unobtrusive about taking them! We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a doula/birth photographer in the Clarksville area.”

"Hire the doula.

Hire the birth photographer.

We had an incredible experience and it was all thanks to her skill set and expertise. To name a few-

-She taught Tim how to help me with those 3min apart contractions for 20hrs with pressure points, positions, etc. she empowered him to empower me.

-I got the epidural at hour 20, and I didn’t know my epidural was wearing off at hour 30, but my doula did. She checked in with me and explained why I was feeling the way I was and got the anesthesia team back in right before it was time to push.

-baby was sitting in my left pelvis, doula centered him while I was on the epidural before the doc came in so we didn’t risk him getting stuck.

-she and the nurses worked together and acted as best friends to bring baby earth side.

-she got me out of my head when I was spiraling with her knowledge and tact.

-she documented an incredible day in my life and I get to see my husbands reaction because of it.

Without her this could have gone a lot of different ways, but she helped make it a beautiful memory for me.

Kalyn Noland thank you for loving what you do, if y’all need a doula/photographer, this is your girl"

“Kalyn was the best choice I could've made for an additional person in my delivery room. Her communication was fantastic; we would text back and forth about what my symptoms were throughout the final weeks of my pregnancy and she would give me advice on what to do to ease them. She texted me several times to check on me and see how things were progressing. Once I was actually in labor, she quickly came to the hospital and immediately asked for opportunities to help. Not only did she take amazing photos that I'll treasure for the rest of my life, but she acted as a doula. She helped me control my pain, gave tips to my family on how they could assist me, reassured me of everything going on in my body, and literally took matters into her own hands when everyone else's help wouldn't do (her experience in the field has made her the queen of birth). She never made me feel like I was on a clock. She even said on the front end that she will be there for the entirety of the birth, no matter how long. In fact, several hours before my birth, she was resting from shooting a 30 something hour one. No complaints. Not one "I'm tired." She made it all about me and my son.

After my birth, the hospitals wouldn't allow visitors because of the pandemic, so I wasn't able to do my 48 hour photos. So, Kalyn came to my house that weekend and we got some lifestyle photos. As a new mom, I was freaked out about the pandemic, so I asked her to wear a mask and gloves. She did, no questions asked. Her "yes" to my asking was so quick that I was relieved in an instant.

Now, because of this experience, I consider Kalyn a friend. Don't waste your money on someone not nearly as great as her. She's the one.”

We could have not done this without Kalyn. She is beyond knowledgeable and helped walk my wife and I through this entire process. Kalyn kept us calm during the most trying and stressful situations. Having Kalyn as our Doula was the best decision we could ever make. Oh, and her pictures were incredible. Everything happens so quickly, but she manages to capture the most amazing moments to ensure we will remember this special day for the rest of our lives. THANK YOU KAYLN - The Lovell’s

Hiring Kalyn as our birth doula & photographer was one of the BEST decisions we’ve ever made. Hands down. Having her at our birth is absolutely one of the reasons we had the beautiful birth experience that we did. Her ability to not only hold space, to help us remember that what I was experiencing was normal & nothing to fear, her pain management support, her warmth.. I’m forever grateful for her and already know she’ll be the first call we make when we find out we’re expecting #2! My husband wasn’t sure about a doula in the beginning but now he recommends it to literally everyone. Hiring Kalyn is worth every penny and more if you want to feel supported & empowered in your birth - whether at home like it was for us, or in a hospital setting. 11/10 recommend Kalyn!

Kalyn played a major role in the delivery of my son not only was she the photographer but she also l was an AMAZING doula . Honestly if it weren’t for her I don’t think I could’ve gotten through the process . I had a natural home birth and there were a couple moments when I wanted to go to the hospital to get an epidural. But Kalyn kept me on the right track and reminded me why I chose the route I decided to. She’s very personable & understanding & she also made sure to let me know if I had any questions or concerns during my pregnancy I could always reach out to her.

I went into my third birth thinking I knew everything I needed and didn’t really need the support. I originally chose Kalyn because I wanted a birth photographer, the doula aspect was just a plus. When my labor didn’t go the way I had expected, she helped me in so many ways. Mentally, she helped me get back in the right mindset. Physically, she showed that there are ways to make everything just a little bit easier. She had so many tips and tricks up her sleeve, and I was amazed.
My husband loved having her, and I loved having her there to show my husband how to be the support person I didn’t know I needed. I’ve always heard how much of a difference a doula can make, but I had no idea until actually experiencing it myself.
After getting our gallery sent to us in an amazing amount of time, it brings me to tears, and I’m so grateful we had Kalyn there. If anyone I know is ever looking for a doula or birth photographer, I know who I’ll be referring!

I found Kalyn’s website back in December early on in my pregnancy when I knew I wanted a natural birth, and I wanted someone who supported that goal to document it. Through the changes associated with Covid and other changes related to my pregnancy, she was there to support me from afar and since she’s a certified doula, she was able to come document our baby’s birth!
My husband will tell you— Kalyn helped him through my labor SO MUCH. She not only captured what I wanted to be captured (my husband supporting me as my birth partner, baby being born, first moments with her, etc) but she also gave tips on what to do to provide some comfort measures when I was in transition and pushing.
She was the one who suggested he get behind me in the bed when I was ready to push— it helped me get more comfortable, helped him provide support in my ear through each wave, and made some incredible photos. I will cherish the pictures she took forever!

When Kalyn documents your birth, she’s not just there to take pictures. Meet with her and you’ll learn about how much she loves birth and what a wealth of knowledge she is, but also how warm, supportive, empathetic, and caring she is! She was a huge part in why I can look back on my birth experience so positively.

Where do I start? I reached out to Kalyn via social media during mid pregnancy and we met shortly after. Two things I knew immediately about Kalyn were her passion for the birthing world and her love for God- there was no way our meeting was a mistake! Throughout my pregnancy we stayed in touch, and then the time finally came- 40 weeks exactly & I was pretty sure I was in early labor, but also knew things could fizzle out. I let Kalyn know, and when things did seem to slow down she gave some tips that definitely worked! We headed to the hospital where Kalyn met us, and it was a good thing she did! We were in early labor, however baby B wasn’t tolerating any of my contractions so a belly birth (as I now like to call it) was needed. Since Kalyn trusted her instincts, she was able to capture our moments before going into the OR and even though she couldn’t come back she let TJ carry the camera into the OR to get some shots. Kalyn went above and beyond her calling of capturing our special moments because she offered comfort, great relaxation techniques, and was overall an amazing person to have in our birth space! The prayers said, the words of encouragement given, and the moments captured are forever in my heart & if more babies are ever in our future she will be the first person I call! We are forever blessed with these memories, thank you!

I’ve never had a birth photographer. But with my third I decided it was necessary. Kalyn did more than an amazing job capturing this important moment in my and my family’s life. Absolutely flawless images. She doesn’t miss a beat. I will forever remember the day my youngest son was born because of her.

She is a “must have” if you are having a baby! Words cannot express the importance of hiring her for your birth. Not only is she an exceptional photographer but she far exceeds being an exceptional Doula. I have worked with midwives and Dulas in the past but I have never met a Dula who eat, sleeps, breaths it! Kalyn is all this and more. She was incredibly supportive in how I wanted my birth to be. She knew how and what to say and do at all moments! From training the baby daddy ... to getting me in a good headspace to allow my natural birth to progress. Without her I know I would’ve ended up in the hospital with a horrible birth experience. Her positivity and motivation put me in the right head space to have the most beautiful peaceful home birth of my dreams. You must hire her!
