I just adore when past clients come back and allow me to continue storytelling for them! I met this family when they hired me to be their Doula & Birth Photographer, they discovered he had a Single umbilical artery and had some fears and concerns. During the pregnancy we talked about possible complications and tried to prepare for anything.
Once he was born he required a little time in the NICU and no amount of education can prepare your baby being taken away from you. I know that pain all too well, so I grabbed the blanket they used to wipe him down with and held this Mama as she cried out for her son. Me being there allowed Dad to go with the baby and Mom didn’t have to be alone during those hard moments.
Luckily little man cleared out of the NICU and was released back into his Mother’s arms, hard to believe that was almost 6 months ago!! I LOVE watching these families grow over time, becoming part of each family I work with is such a blessing!!!
We choose the Greenhouse as the location and it couldn’t have been more perfect!! I kept hearing planted in love while I was taking their pictures. Life has no guarantee that there won’t be pain and heartache but being planted in love can help you weather any storm.
